Abstract

This study examined the relationship between the utilization of educational materials and teaching efficiency among high school teachers in Tagum City. Employing a non-experimental quantitative research design, data were collected from 150 high school teachers selected through stratified random sampling. The researcher-developed and modified questionnaire, based on established sources and pilot-tested for clarity, was used to measure both the extent of educational material utilization and teaching efficiency. Results revealed consistently high mean scores across indicators of access, engagement, assessment, classroom management, student engagement, and professional development, with overall ratings described as “Extensive.” Notably, the lowest mean was observed for the real-world application of concepts, suggesting an area for targeted improvement. Correlation analysis indicated a significant positive relationship between the utilization of educational materials and teaching efficiency, underscoring the importance of quality resources in enhancing instructional practices and student outcomes. These findings align with contemporary educational theories such as Constructivism and Universal Design for Learning, which emphasize the value of accessible, interactive, and inclusive materials. The study highlights the need for continued investment in educational resources, infrastructure, and professional development.
