Abstract

The study unfolded the extent of Teachers’ management and facilitation skills across science discipline in Banaybanay District Schools, Davao Oriental Schools Division. The study used non-experimental descriptive-correlational research design, where it utilized adapted survey instrument to gather responses from the randomly selected teacher-respondents. Data gathered were treated using Mean scores with descriptive interpretation, Pearson r and Simple Linear Regression Analysis. Findings revealed that teachers’ management across science discipline in terms of communication, assessment and feedback, subject knowledge, planning and organization, technology integration, classroom management and differentiation is moderately extensive, while, teachers’ facilitation skills across science discipline in terms of inquiry-based learning, scaffolding and guided discovery, facilitating collaborative learning, encouraging
critical thinking, cultivating scientific creativity and questioning technique is extensive. There is a significant relationship between teachers’ management and facilitation skills across science discipline. Domains of teachers’ management in terms of subject knowledge, planning and organization, communication and technology integration significantly influence facilitation skills across science discipline. Future research may conduct research to evaluate the effectiveness of professional development programs that aim to enhance teachers’ management and facilitation skills in the science discipline. Investigate the long-term impact of such programs on teacher practices, student learning outcomes, and overall classroom environments
